Sir Roger Moore was know as one of the best 007 James Bond actors. He first played Bond in 1973 with Live and Let Die. He played the British secret agent James Bond in seven feature films between 1973 and 1985.
Sir Roger’s family confirmed the news on Twitter, saying “a short but brave battle with cancer”. The statement, from his children, read: “Thank you Pops for being you, and being so very special to so many people.” “With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated,” the family said in their Twitter post.
