McDonald’s French Fries Cure Baldness

The Daily Record claims McDonald’s French fries may cure baldness. Scientists in Japan have developed a new way to grow hair using hair follicle germs that are cultured in a McDonald’s French fry chemical called dimethylpolysiloxane. The germs were implanted in mice using human stem cells. Within days, the mice had furry backs and scalps.

Professor Junzhi Fukuda, of Yokohama National University, tells the paper; ”Early tests have already indicated the technique will be just as successful on human skin cells. We hope this technique will improve human hair regenerative therapy to treat hair loss such as androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness).”
