We’re celebrating Cinco de Mayo here at Rewind 100.7 in the way that Mexico’s historians wouldn’t consider completely accurate: by punishing rounds of increasingly hot peppers as you struggle to answer pop culture questions. Historically accurate? Uh, no. But awesome to watch? YEAH.
Here’s how it works: join us at the oh, so tasty Cafe at 50 West on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) from 7-9am for an excruciating round of Jalapeño Jeopardy. Contestants will answer each round of pop culture questions, the ones who answer incorrectly will eat a a series of increasingly hot peppers. For instance, not knowing that the UPS trucks are brown could just force you to munch a bell pepper. Forgetting that Roger Taylor was the drummer for Duran Duran could mean a mouthful of pain from a jalapeño. Last contestant standing wins a wonderful vacation to Mexico, courtesy of our glorious friends at Alaska Airlines.
