What Are YOU Doing On New Year’s Eve?

bad new years 2

What Are YOU Doing On New Year’s Eve? Not that yet another New Year’s Eve watching your Dad fall asleep on your sofa at 8pm while your Uncle Jim hides his glass eye in the fruit salad again isn’t super fun, but maybe it’s time for a change? (Editor’s note: yes, that is autobiographical. My Uncle Jim would target the new guests and laugh hysterically every time. And no one eats the fruit salad, even when Uncle Jim isn’t at the party. Not ever.)

After getting to hang out at the Zermatt Utah Resort over the last few months, we’ve fallen in love with the place. It’s hard to find that combination  of luxe and fancy and yet still child-friendly. (Believe me, my children are the acid test. If the Zermatt staff can survive those three and keep smiling, your kids will be more than welcome.)

New Year’s Eve at Zermatt Utah is no exception. There’s so few times you actually get to dress up in this life, make the most of it! The Masquerade Party is legendary – the allure and mystery of the masks, yummy hors d’oeuvres, music by KUTV 2’s Casey, the midnight balloon drop, and of course, tasty adult beverages. The nice part is – there’s stuff for the kids to do, too. Everyone has fun, no one gets left behind and YOU don’t have to scramble for a babysitter on the Most Expensive Night Of The Year. Plus, there’s excellent packages to spend the night that include tickets to the party, find those by clicking here. Or, have breakfast the next morning…even a fancy New Year’s Eve dinner at Z’s Steak and Chop Haus. The menu features your choice of Z’s special Prime Rib, Snow Crab, Salmon, or Lobster. Look how easy it is to have fun when someone else is doing all the prep and cleaning up! Make your reservations as soon as possible, they tend to sell out.

firework at new years eve in austrian snowy mountains

Here’s my favorite part: walking out at the stroke of midnight with The Todd and a couple of glasses of champange. The air is still and cold. The view is exquisite; crystal clear mountains draped in white and a zillion stars overhead. Share a kiss, make a wish, and enjoy the most perfect New Year’s Eve ever. You with us?
