Veteran’s Day Freebies, Meals & Activities

Free Food:

Applebee’s: Vets and active members of the military get a choice of seven different free meals on November 11, plus a $5 coupon valid on a return visit from November 12 to 27.

Black Angus Steakhouse: All 46 Black Angus locations in the U.S. will serve customers with military ID a free top sirloin steak meal, free of charge, on Veterans Day.

Bob Evans: Veterans and active military members get free breakfast, served all day on Veterans Day, plus 10% off your bill on future visits anytime through the end of the year.

Boston Market: Active or retired military and their families can get a free brownie or cookie with any purchase on November 11, no ID required.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Show proof of military service and you’ll get a small order of wings and fries for free on Veterans Day.

California Pizza Kitchen: Customers with military ID get a complementary entrée at participating CPK locations on Veterans Day, including a choice of pizzas, salads, and pasta dishes.

Chevys: Active and retired military get a choice of items like Mesquite Grilled Chicken, Steak Fajitas, or Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas free of charge on November 11.

Chipotle: Buy one burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos and you’ll get another one free if you have military ID, from 3 p.m. until closing time on Veterans Day.

Cracker Barrel: On November 11, all customers with military ID can get an order of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake on the house.

Carrabba’s: is giving free appetizers to veterans and military personnel on Friday.

Chili’s: is offering free lunch combos on Friday.

Denny’s: Get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. until noon at participating Denny’s locations on November 11.

Einstein Bros Bagels: is offering a free meal to all active, former and retired military personnel.

Famous Dave’s: is thanking former and active military personnel with a free one-meat Salute Platter that includes one side and cornbread, or a Real ‘Que sandwich with a side, at the Midvale, Layton and West Jordan locations.

Fazoli’s: Customers with military ID get a free build-your-own pasta bowl, with a choice of noodles and sauces, on November 11.

Golden Corral: This chain of buffet restaurants is hosting a Military Appreciation Night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 14, when all customers with military ID get a free meal.

Hooters: Show military ID or proof of service on November 11 and you’ll get a free entrée—choices include 10-piece wings, Hooters Burger, and Buffalo Chicken Salad.

IHOP: Show proof of military service and you’re welcomed to a free order of red, white, and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating IHOPs on November 11. The pancakes come with strawberries (red), whipped cream (white), and blueberry compote (blue). Some locations are offering an alternate freebie, with a combo order of two eggs, hash browns and choice of two bacon strips or pork.

Little Caesars: Veterans and active military can get a free lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at participating Little Caesars locations on Friday.

Krispy Kreme: is offering a free donut of any variety and a small coffee to all veterans and active-duty military personnel Friday.

Mimi’s Café: Customers with military ID can get a free entrée for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on November 11.

Mini’s Cupcakes: is offering free cupcakes to all veterans Friday.

Outback Steakhouse: is honoring heroes with a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage on Friday. Military personnel with an ID card or other proof of service can receive 15 percent off their entire check from Nov. 12 through Dec. 31 at participating locations.

Perkins Restaurant and Bakery: is thanking veterans and active military with a free Magnificent Seven meal with presentation of military ID or proof of service Wednesday.

Pizza Pie Cafe: is giving free meals to veterans and active-duty service members Friday.

Olive Garden: Veterans and active military can select a free entree from a special menu, with unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks included.

Red Lobster: On November 10 and 11, customers with military ID get a choice of free appetizer or dessert.

Red Robin: Get a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger plus unlimited steak fries with a military ID on November 11.

Rodizio Grill: is saluting veterans by offering a free full Rodizio meal with the purchase of another adult full Rodizio meal. The deal runs from Thursday and Friday at participating locations.

Ruby Tuesday: Show military ID for a free appetizer (value up to $10) on November 11.

Sizzler: Through 4 p.m. on Veterans Day, guests with military ID get free lunch, including a choice of three entrées and coffee, tea, or fountain drink.

TGI Fridays: From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 11, customers with military ID can order a lunch menu item worth up to $12, free of charge.

Tucanos: is offering current and past servicemen and women a free lunch or dinner with the purchase of another meal Friday. Veterans who come by themselves can receive a half-priced meal. Proof of service required.

Village Inn: is saluting veterans and current military personnel with a free breakfast Wednesday. Those with a military ID or proof of service can choose from three buttermilk pancakes, a Belgian waffle or three slices of French toast.

Wingstop: is offering one free six-piece Boneless Wings combo for all veterans, active duty and reserve military service members on Veteran’s Day. No ID required

 

Services and Activities:

Great Clips: Bring in proof of military service on November 11 and you’ll get a free haircut or a card valid for a free haircut through December 31. All other customers who get a haircut on November 11 receive a card that can be gifted to a veteran or active-duty member of the military valid through December 31.

National Parks: Free admission is granted on November 11 for all guests at parks and federal lands that normally charge an entrance fee.

Hogle Zoo: is saying “thank you” by offering free admission to all military personnel and veterans, as well as their spouses and children under the age of 18 (with valid military ID) Friday. The zoo also welcomes the families of fallen soldiers.

Living Planet Aquarium: is offering free admission to veterans and their immediate families Friday.

Meineke: Free basic oil changes for all customers with military ID on Veterans Day.

Jiffy Lube: is offering active and retired military free Signature Service Oil Changes, with up to 5 quarts of conventional oil Friday.

LinkedIn: is offering a free one year subscription to Lynda.com, which includes access to more than 4,000 online training courses, and a one year LinkedIn Premium Job Seeker account.

Supersonic Car Wash: is offering a free Exterior Plus car wash to any current or retired member of the armed forces Friday.

Fabulous Freddy’s: is offering veterans and active military personnel a free ultra-exterior car wash on Friday.

Sports Clips: locations across the country will host the company’s annual Veterans Day haircut event during which $1 per haircut service will support the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarships” for service members and veterans.

 

Shopping:

Bed Bath and Beyond: is offering 20 percent off entire in-store purchases made Thursday through Sunday by active-duty or retired military personnel and military spouses who have military ID.

Cost Plus World Market: is offering 20 percent off entire in-store purchases made through Friday by active-duty or retired military personnel and military spouses who have military ID.

Lowe’s: is offering a 10 percent discount to those who are currently serving in the armed services and those who are retired, in addition to their immediate family members on Friday. A valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Overstock.com: is offering free Club O memberships to all active, former and retired military members. The membership includes year-round free shipping and rewards.
