Tom Hanks spoke with The Guardian about his and his wife Rita Wilson’s battle with COVID-19.
Both of them contracted the virus while Hanks was filming in Australia earlier this year. Hanks recalled that he and Wilson experienced the virus differently.
He said, “My wife lost her sense of taste and smell, she had severe nausea, she had a much higher fever than I did.” Hanks continued, “I just had crippling body aches, I was very fatigued all the time and I couldn’t concentrate on anything for more than about 12 minutes. That last bit is kinda like my natural state anyway.” Hanks said they are both fine and the discomfort lasted about 2 weeks.
