5 Iconic Songs From The ’80’s That You’ve TOTALLY Missed. So, I was noodling around on iTunes the other day, trying to find some of my favorites from the ’80’s. The Todd and I hosted an “80’s Night” fundraiser, and hearing all that wonderful cold, impersonal synthopop got me yearning for my new-wave favorites from my youth. I couldn’t find some of them, so I started digging. Seriously, I think these 5 songs pretty much represented the entire decade for me. Which 5 songs from the 80’s summed up everything about you?

Industry – State of the Nation 1984
Underworld – Underneath the Radar 1988
Black – Everything’s Coming Up Roses 1987
Duran Duran – The Reflex 1981
Depeche Mode – Everything Counts 1983
PLUS! My extra special bonus track:
The Pajama Slave Dancers – Train Wreck On Prom Night 1986
Even if you don’t fall madly in love with the sheer Awesome of the name “Pajama Slave Dancers,” the tune Train Wreck on Prom Night will make you a fan, with the chorus that laments, “why didn’t we take the BUS???”
